Paul-Émile Comeau

Paul-Émile Comeau lives in Comeauville, which is part of a French Acadian region in Southwestern Nova Scotia. Although the village wasn¹t named after the man, it does provide him with an address that impresses hotel keepers. He has been very involved in music and the arts for over three decades, having first been published in the early '70s (Rolling Stone, Fusion). In recent years he has written prolifically about a very wide range of music for GLOBAL RHYTHM, Dirty Linen, No Depression, Penguin Eggs, Goldmine, fRoots, Maverick, Roots World, New Internationalist and other publications. He has also written and hosted several radio series for the national French-language Radio Canada network and has also done features for the national CBC English-language network. He's involved in presenting regular concerts in his community, and is occasionally called upon to sit on juries for awards. He's a recently retired senior high school teacher and now teaches a couple of courses at the local university (Consumer Behavior and Media).
