The Chicago Cultural Center Presents 2008 Latino Music Festival

Free concerts throughout October and November feature artists such as Baroque Band, Alexandre Dossin, Tito Carrillo, Guillermo Gregorio, and Elbio Barilari.

The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and the Chicago Cultural Center present three free concerts throughout October and November as part of the 2008 Latino Music Festival. Featured artists include the Baroque Band, Alexandre Dossin, Tito Carrillo, Guillermo Gregorio, Elbio Barilari, and more.

Baroque Band – Sunday, November 2, 3 pm

Pianist Alexandre DossinFriday, November 14, 6:30 pm
Brazilian pianist and scholar Alexandre Dossin performs works by Edino Krieger, Heitor Villalobos, Juan Jose Castro, Lorenzo Fernandes and Manuel Ponce.  See attached release to learn more.

Celebrating Violeta ParraMonday, November 24, 7 pm
This performance features an improvisational approach to Latin American music, blending traditional music with jazz, contemporary and electronic.  See attached release to learn more.
