New York City nightclub Joe’s Pub will celebrate its 10th anniversary with over 300 musical and theatrical performances, including a presentation of the rock musical, Hair, directed by Diane Paulus, as well as director Sam Shepard’s Kicking a Dead Horse.

New York’s hippest nightclub Joe’s Pub will commemorate its 10th anniversary with over 300 shows. The pub has been well-known for introducing audiences to promising new acts, and from September through December, Joe's Pub will welcome back many of the artists who have cemented its stellar reputation.

A presentation of Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, will take place from July 22-August 31, and will be directed by Diane Paulus. Similarly, Kicking A Dead Horse, directed by Sam Shepard, is now playing through August 10.

The line-up for this celebration includes Keren Ann, Sandra Berhnard, Michael John LaChiusa, Gilberto Gil, Billy Porter as well as the return of Dancenow's Fraulein Maria and Noche Flamenca among others.  Especially enticing is Joe’s Pub’s new series, 10 For The 10th, two days of 10 free shows in October.

Joe's Pub at The Public Theater debuted in October 1998. Since then, the venue has been New York City’s hotspot for diverse and stellar artists and live performances. Joe’s Pub has developed into a premier showcase stage for up-and-coming musicians and emerging artists from a variety of disciplines. In 2007 alone, this not-for-profit performance space has provided a home for the very best in pop and rock, both classic—such as Sinead and new, including the widely-hailed Amy Winehouse. World music such as that of Vieux Farka Toure, The Yoshida Brothers, and Lúnasa have been on display, along with acts from the realm of country and Americana, jazz and classical, soul and rhythm and blues, comedy and burlesque, Broadway, and even the silver screen. Newsweek calls the club "one of the country's best small stages."

Joe’s Pub is open seven days a week, regularly hosting as many as three shows a day. Dinner and drink service is available during every performance the venue offers a classic Italian dinner menu and a fully stocked bar.
