Children's Musician and Author Raffi Set to Release Two New Compilations

Acclaimed children's musician and author Raffi is releasing two new much-anticipated compilation albums following his 2006 release of Quiet Time.

Canadian Raffi is a jack-of-all-trades who touches the hearts and minds of children everywhere: troubadour, record producer, songwriter, author, entrepreneur and ecology advocate, to start. His two new compilation CDs, entitled, Songs of Our World and Animal Songs are set to be released on March 11 by Rounder.


These compilations are geared towards being both learning and listening experiences for children and their parents alike, reflecting different nationalities, cultures, and languages. Raffi's unique soothing voice and gentle humor are sure to speak volumes to any child.


With 30 years in the industry, Raffi has been enormously successful, selling out hundreds of perfomances in some of the most popular North American theaters. He has sold millions of albums, concert videos, and children's books based on his songs. With such classics as “Baby Beluga” and “All I Really Need,” he has provided positive musical messages to generations of fans.  Raffi first release, Singable Songs for the Very Young (1976), is one of the top selling children’s recordings ever made. To this day, he still sets the standard for what makes good children's entertainment.
