Michael Brook & Djivan Gasparyan Concert At UCLA To Be Rescheduled
Published December 7, 2007

Due to a leg injury suffered by Armenian musician and composer Djivan Gasparyan (pictured), the concert has been pushed back to a date to be announced in January.

“An Evening with Michael Brook & Djivan Gasparyan,” currently scheduled to appear as part of UCLA Live’s 07/08 World Music series on Saturday, Dec. 15 at Royce Hall, has been rescheduled for a date to be determined in spring 2008. Gasparyan, 80-year-old Armenian duduk master, has suffered from a serious leg fracture and has been instructed not to travel at this time. The rescheduled concert date will coincide with the highly anticipated release of Brook and Gasparyan's new collaborative CD, a follow-up to the 1998 fusion masterpiece “Black Rock.”

The concert will still take place at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus. Ticketholders for the December 15 concert should wait to be contacted in January 2008 with the rescheduled date. In the meantime, the UCLA Central Ticket Office may be contacted at 310-825-2101 or via email at info@uclalive.org with any questions. Updates also available at www.uclalive.org.
