LATV Announces Summer Performances Lineup For LATV LIVE And LATV En Concierto
Published June 18, 2007

LATV En Concierto and LATV Live announce upcoming performances including specials with major names in Latin urban music, pop, and alternative.

LATV En Concierto and LATV Live will deliver some of the biggest names in popular Latin music this summer, including such chart-burning Latin Urban artists as Calle 13, Notch, Xtreme, and Tres Coronas as well as popular alternative acts Ozomatli, The Pinker Tones, Babasonicos and Pacha Massive. Renowned non-Latin artists also regularly visit LATV, with recent performances from Sparta, Ima Robot and Fishbone. Every week, LATV’s studio and television audiences witness exclusive concerts in an intimate setting the way they are supposed to be: en vivo. The LATV studio audience is treated to a level of interaction with the performing artist seldom seen on other television networks, creating a true connection between artist and fan. (See airdates below.)

LATV, the U.S.’s first bilingual music/entertainment network distributed via digital multicast, recently launched nationally. Among the markets/stations outside of Los Angeles that now carry LATV are Houston, KPRC (NBC); Miami, WPLG (ABC); Orlando, WKMG (CBS); San Antonio, KSAT (ABC); KLAS (CBS) Las Vegas; KSEE (NBC) Fresno; KWBA (CBS) Tucson; KWES (NBC) Midland-Odessa; and KFDA (CBS) Amarillo. LATV now has affiliates in more than 26 total markets, including Puerto Rico. LATV reaches over eight million cable and broadcast homes. In addition to LATV en Concierto and LATV Live, other popular programs such as ‘Mex 2 the Max,’ ‘Rokamole,’ ‘Drive Thru,’ ‘Jukebox Requests’ and ‘LATV Does Hollywood’ are also now available nationally.

The centerpiece of the new LATV lineup is the innovative LATV Live. Running daily from 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT, the two-hour program is an interactive, edgy town hall-type of show, with audiences text-messaging and calling in to the program’s three hosts in real-time. This live program is the heart of LATV with English/Spanish music video play, comedy, politics, pop culture and new artists.
