Pete Seeger’s 88th Birthday Tribute To Broadcast Live On “The Water Show”
Published May 1, 2007

The broadcast will air at noon on May 3, and will focus on current global concerns surrounding water.

Water is one of the most important commodities of the world and it is an often overlooked privilege to even have access to fresh drinking water. Global News Broadcast will explore global issues concerning water. Pete Seeger is a statesman in the world of environment and it is GNB’s honor to celebrate his 88th birthday on the live broadcast.

Already scheduled to appear on the live broadcast are: “Pete Seeger: The Power of Song,” a new documentary directed by Jim Brown. The film’s world premier will be at the Tribeca Film Festival. Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen are just two of the many that attest to Seeger's importance in this compelling documentary.

Global News Broadcast decided to focus on water because as John. F Kennedy stated, “Anyone who can solve the problems of water will be worthy of two Nobel prizes – one for peace and one for science.” Good News Broadcast’s “The Water Hour” is both uplifting and thought provoking about this and other serious world issues.
