Lazy Afternoon
Blue Toucan Music

Lazy Afternoon has the sultry, laid-back feeling so frequently brought on by the smooth sounds of Brazilian jazz. An album of originals and standards by the likes of George Gershwin and Antonio Carlos Jobim, these songs all sound like they came straight out of a Latin nightclub. Except in this case, the vocalist hails from Sweden. Lazy Afternoon is Elin’s first album. Now residing in New York City, the American influence on Elin’s traditional yet unique sound can be heard clearly in her vocal style. With little trace of an accent, she cruises through songs in English and Spanish. She is also a strong songwriter, fitting her work well into this deceptively challenging genre. With a unique blend of cultural influences to incorporate and combine, and her biggest strength being her versatile vocal work, Elin could have a bright and musical future ahead of her.
