Celtic Fiddle Festival Fall Announces Tour Schedule
Published September 26, 2006

Sold-out tours and standing ovations give testimony to the electricity and excitement generated by these three great individual fiddle stylists who have invited guest artists to join the tour.

Kevin Burke of Ireland, Christian Lematre of Brittany and Andr Brunet of Quebec combine their talents, musical traditions, and spontaneous humor for a fall tour lineup of dazzling energy and subtle grace, joined by Ged Foley on guitar.

Called "three of the finest folk violinists anywhere" by The Washington Post, these traditional masters showcase their regional repertoires and together conjure an experience of breathtaking performances.

Fiddler Gilles Apap is joining the Celtic Fiddle Festival on tour this fall beginning in Fairfield, CT on October 29th and playing through November 14th. Hailed "THE violinist of the twenty-first century" by the late Yehudi Menuhin, Apap seems to find praise wherever he turns. He is embraced worldwide for his distinct talent of incorporating styles of music as diverse as American bluegrass and Gypsy fiddling with the standards of the classical repertoire.
