Thievery’s highly acclaimed record label Eighteenth Street Lounge is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Coincidently, the label is coming up on its 100th release. To mark the occasion, expect a new compilation entitled ESL 100 in October that will include new remix work on tracks by Thunderball, Federico Aubele and many more.

ESL is known as the home of Thievery Corporation and other electronic artists from across the globe who blend world music, jazz and a myriad of other styles into a hip sexy club sound that has caught the imagination of fans of all stripes.

With the renowned Washington D.C. club and record label, acclaimed compilations, legendary live shows, and sales of over one million albums to date -- every single one of them self-produced and independently distributed -- Thievery Corporation are undisputed standard-bearers of electronic music, and among the most adventurous and compelling artists extant.

In Thievery Corporation news, the duo composed of Rob Garza and Eric Hilton just wrapped up their most successful tour to date, doing a sold-out show at the Hollywood Bowl with The Flaming Lips and Os Mutantes, then moving onto Lollapalooza and performing as a stage headliner at Baltimore’s first Virgin Fest. To end the summer touring season the duo have announced two shows at New York’s Webster Ballroom on Sept 25 and Sept 26.
