Stars To Hold Cooking Lessons At WOMAD

The "Taste the World" program at the upcoming WOMAD Singapore festival will put the audience side-by-side with artists in cooking up some tasty dishes from musicians' home countries.

The upcoming World of Music, Arts and Dance (WOMAD) Singapore festival plans to bring a tasty new program to the table.

“Taste the World” will offer audience members the chance to join artists such as Guo Yue and Risenga Makondo on the newly constructed Culinary Stage as the musicians cook up dishes from their home countries.

The audience will be allowed alongside the artists to watch, talk, and take recipes home.

The program will also feature professional chefs Dean and Boon from area restaurant at-sunrice, who will specialize in Malay, Singapore and Thai cuisine.

Scheduled for August 25 through 27 at the Fort Canning Park, the festival features artists from more than a dozen countries. Taste the World tickets are on sale for $35. Updates and further information on tickets, performances and programs can be found at
