Cheb i Sabbah to Release La Ghriba: La Kahena Remixed

Sabbah personally selected a team of 11 remixers to further transform and morph the music on La Kahena. Remixers include: Temple of Sound, Bill Laswell and newcomers Fnaïre, Bassnectar, the Chakadoons and Yossi Fine.

Cheb i Sabbah is releasing a new remix record, La Ghriba: La Kahena Remixed. On his new remix album, Sabbah personally selected a team of 11 remixers to further transform and morph the music on La Kahena. Remixers include: Temple of Sound, Bill Laswell and newcomers Fnaïre, Bassnectar, the Chakadoons and Yossi Fine.

For his 2005 release, La Kahena, Algerian born Cheb i Sabbah returned to his North African roots. Collaborating with a wide variety of North African female singers, Sabbah created contemporary folklore, rich with the authenticity of trance ceremonies filtered through the magic of his trademark production skills. La Kahena garnered both critical acclaim and worldwide and retail success reaching #6 on the Billboard World Charts and #3 on the iTunes World Chart in its first month of sales.
