Song Zin'- Vocadelic Tales

With considerable hype and hoopla, Cameroonian vocal acrobat Gino Sitson has entered the contemporary jazz/world beat arena. There is plenty of variety on Song Zin'—multi-layered acappella, African rhythms and contemporary jazz formats. The musicians, arrangements and sonic quality are first-rate. The overall sound is accessible and, with a little luck, will land this CD successfully into the cocktail jazz-programming blender. Sitson’s singing is no more interesting than, say, early Al Jarreau, Bobby McFerrin or Zap Mama, but if you have not been overexposed to those artists you should be quite happy with Gino Sitson.
