Nishat Khan, known for his deeply soulful renditions of ragas, is one of the finest sitarists of the younger generation in Indian classical music today. Representing the eighth generation of a dynasty of master musicians, he is the son and disciple of Ustad Imrat Khan, with whom he has toured internationally. In addition to performing with prominent Indian musicians, he has appeared with European early-music artists and jazz musicians.
