Wow...a full decade of the California WorldFest….festival #10 is rapidly approaching and we can’t believe how wonderful the ride has been. We are doing our best to make 2006 our finest festival yet! Thanks to you, your family and friends for ten years of WorldFest memories.

Special thanks to all who sent along suggestions for this year’s lineup. We are pleased to announce that, yes; both acclaimed Australian guitar wizard Tommy Emmanuel and Hawaiian ukulele wunderkind Jake Shimabukuro are winging their way back to Grass Valley to help us celebrate our first decade. Others already confirmed include Canadian songbirds the Wailin’ Jennys, the hot licks swing grass of Old School Freight Train, gorgeous harmonies and country-rock Mexicana from Sisters Morales, the glorious Hawaiian & Polynesian sounds of Hapa, the amazing Bills stage show featuring Cajun, swing and hillbilly symphony all at once, Eddie From Ohio with their tight harmony and rocking rhythm, and Tex/Mex Queen Tish Hinojosa….and, much, much more to come! WorldFest 2006 tickets are on sale as of today (See details below). With the camping again likely to sell out in advance, please make your plans early to purchase tickets, insure a camping place, and save some dollars! Plus, order your camping tickets by March 15th and receive a FREE CD from Putumayo World Music.

Our newly updated website is at with current (and ever expanding) information about this summer, and there is a link to the special early bird ticket discount. Let us know if the website has all the info you need, and please check back for continual artist updates.

Of course, we will have vocal, instrumental, dance and percussion workshops, the renowned children’s program, international artisans and great food from around the world. Bring your instruments and join in the campground jams with your new musical friends and don’t forget your dancing shoes.

The WorldFest camping area has sold out the last three years and we will again limit the camping to make sure it is comfortable for us all. Thanks for letting your family and friends know to plan early.

Early purchase camping tickets are available from today until March 15. Each adult 4-day camping ticket is $110 and 3-day camping tickets are $100 per adult, a savings of $25 per ticket off the gate price. The camping ticket includes all the music on 8 stages (we added another one this year), all the workshops, and onsite camping. (A youth camping ticket, age 13-16, is $60 for the whole festival and a child’s camping ticket, age 5-12, is $30. Children under 5 are free.)

For those not camping on-site, you can purchase a ticket good for 3 days (Friday-Sunday) without camping for $90, saving $30 off the gate price if purchased before July 12. One day Adult tickets are $35 and can be used for the day of your choice.

RV SITES with full hook-ups ($70) or with water/electric only ($50) are available in the camping area with the purchase of a minimum of two 3-day or 4-day adult camping tickets. Visit our website,, for complete camping and RV details.
