This 1978 classic was not only the all-time greatest selling salsa album ever, it also re-invented the genre overnight. Puerto Rican trombonist/bandleader Willie Colon was one of salsa's founding fathers, and Panamanian singer Ruben Blades was one of the music's most expressive voices. Together they changed the game with this street-smart collection of dancefloor classics that combined salsa's raw energy with disco's smooth grooves, and some of the most insightful and pointed lyrics ever sung in Spanish. The result yielded such evergreens as "Plastico," "Buscando Guayaba" and "Pedro Navaja," all of which still rock dancefloors today.
