Critical response has been mixed, but veteran jazz keyboardist Herbie Hancock has been enjoying one of the biggest hits of his career with Possibilities, his latest CD. Possibilities features a series of inspired encounters between Hancock and  musicians from within several genres, including including John Mayer, Sting, Trey Anastasio, Annie Lennox, Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan, Santana and Angelique Kidjo, Paul Simon, Christina Aguilera, Jonny Lang, Joss Stone, and Raul Midon. Hancock described Possibilities by saying, "This is a real collaboration that we’re doing here. It’s all been decided at the session, a record without borders, woven like a tapestry with many colors. The possibilities are endless." Possibilities recently peaked in the Billboard album chart at number 22.
