French-Algerian syncretist Rachid Taha has found the place where punk-rock and Arabic music collide. On the release of his newest album, Tékitoi?, whose highlights include a smashing cover of the Clash’s “Rock The Casbah,” we look at Taha’s increasingly impressive body of work, his forceful, charismatic persona and his collaborative relationship with producer Steve Hillage.
