Wyclef Jean Records Single In New York With Asian Pop-Star Sun
Published August 28, 2006

Asian Pop-star Sun is taking her 4-time Platinum music career to the United States and is currently recording with the legendary Wyclef Jean. Sun and Wyclef are hard at work in his NYC Studio, Platinum Sound Recording Studio, to prepare for Sun's upcoming album release.

The as-yet-unnamed single is described by Sun as a feel good song. "They lyrics tell everyone to get to the dance floor and dance away your problems: Who can't relate to that?" says Sun. "There are a few words in the song that may be difficult for most people to understand and with good reason: they're in my native language Mandarin," exclaims SUN.   Wyclef and Sun were able to infuse some of her culture into the song they recorded.  "Beyonce, Whitney Houston, Lauryn Hill, Shakira, and SUN-What do they have in common?" asks Wyclef.   "They all bring their culture to their music.  They say, 'This is who I am and who I represent.  You're either gonna ride with me or you're not!'"

SUN's much-anticipated U.S. album follows the highly successful singles, including the world-wide smash hits "Without Love" and "Ends Of The Earth."  Sun has been collaborating with some of the industry's top producers and songwriters on her album including: Denise Rich, Donna Summer, Desmond Child, Underdogs, and Diane Warren.  As Singapore's equivalent to Madonna, Sun has enjoyed enormous success in the last few years having reached Platinum sales for her albums 4 times over.  She has performed numerous sold out concerts in Singapore, Twain, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and China.

Both acclaimed stars are excited about working with one another, "I just love her voice and she is an artist I can really create something for and with!" states Wyclef. Sun echoes a similar sentiment, "He is fiercely passionate about the music and I hope everyone can catch this feeling as they listen!"

Stay tuned for more information on the release of SUN's single and album.  In the meantime catch a glimpse of this Asian Beauty by visiting
