Nation is Pulling Out All the Stops for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, 2008
Published January 18, 2008

Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968) was one of our country's most regarded and venerated leaders during the Civil Rights Movement. Among his many efforts at fighting for equality for all American citizens was his initiation of the Montgomery Bus Boycott and, most notably, his famous "I Have A Dream" speech. In 1964, King, Jr. became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to end segregation and racial discrimination.
