Juanes To Release New Single, "Me Enamora," On September 4
Published August 1, 2007

Having recently marched in and performed at one of the country-wide protest marches in his native Colombia that united over 1 million people calling for the release of thousands of kidnap victims, twelve-time Latin Grammy winner Juanes has returned to Miami’s The Hit Factory – Criteria studio this week to complete the final mix of his fourth album La Vida... Es Un Ratico(“Life Is A Moment”). Leading the way as the first taste of this highly-anticipated album, initial single “Me Enamora” will be released in 77 countries throughout Asia, Europe and the Americas on September 4th.

The follow-up to Juanes' global hit album Mi Sangre (which reached #1 in 41 countries and has sold over 4 million copies to date), La Vida... Es Un Ratico once again finds the world’s top-selling Latin rock artist co-producing with double-Oscar/multiple-GRAMMY Winner Gustavo Santaolalla. With Juanes having recorded all guitar-parts, vocals and some keyboards at his home studio in the mountains outside Medellin, and remaining recording of bass, drums, strings, and more completed at Santaolalla’s studio in Los Angeles, La Vida... Es Un Ratico continues the growth of Juanes’ distinctive fusion of rock and traditional Colombian rhythms.

Finding Juanes once again tackling both themes of social conscience and change, as well as intimate personal moments of family and relationships, La Vida... Es Un Ratico will also contain some unique international collaborations, as Juanes partners on tracks with both legendary Argentineanrocker Andrés Calamaro and also Campino-vocalist of famed German punk group “Die Toten Hosen."
