Dengue Fever Confirms European And U.S. Summer Tour

Cambodian-American rock band Dengue Fever has garnered the praise of the likes of New York Times, Spin, The Times (U.K.), and Global Rhythm, just to name a few. The band has announced an extensive international and North American summer tour that will include some of the largest festivals in the world. This event will mark the band’s debut in many European countries, including the U.K., Norway, The Netherlands, and Sweden.

The band has evolved from performing primarily Cambodian cover tunes from the 1960s on their first album in 2003 to writing all original material as well as singing significantly more songs in English on their latest CD, Venus On Earth.

Venus On Earth has generated much hype among the press and college radio. The Los Angeles Times called it “Sexy and eclectic, it’s world music for the cool kids,” while Paste Magazine deems the effort “The maturing, polyglot sound of America’s urban future.”
