Daniel Pearl World Music days will be featuring a series of world-wide concerts with performances by artists such as R.E.M., Herbie Hancock, Jason Mraz, Alison Krauss, and FODFest ’08 throughout October.
 
After the kidnapping and murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl in Pakistan on February 22, 2002, Pearl’s family carried on his love for music by establishing Daniel Pearl World Music Days. For two weeks each year, “Harmony For Humanity” concerts are hosted all over the world in Pearl’s memory, reminding us of the universal power of music and the humanity which we all share. Artists around the globe contribute their special talents to Daniel Pearl World Music Days events. This fall, Daniel Pearl World Music Days will be showcasing the following artists:
