The 6th annual Salt Lake City International Jazz Festival will be held
July 6-9 in the heart of Salt Lake City's downtown district. This
year's diverse jazz artists' lineup includes Patti Austin, The
Rippingtons, The Jazz Accapella Groove Society, Byron Strippling, The Average
White Band, and many other popular jazz and rock musicians. An opening
night concert at Abravanel Hall will kick-off the weekends festivities, all
other performances will be hosted at the Salt Lake City & County
Building's Washington Square from 4 - 11 p.m. Casual "jam" sessions will
wrap up each evening's events. Tickets are FREE to the public and are
available in advance through sponsor locations or at the festival.
Educational clinics and seminars will be held July 7 and 8 at the University
