Come October, get ready to feast on an unprecedented smorgasbord of glorious string music from Africa. Bring along your friends who just think "percussion" when they hear African music!
They will delight in the sounds of the 21-string harp kora, the lute-like kamelen n'goni, and the riti horse-hair fiddle. Traditional West African songs and rhythms will fuse with the crackle of modern pop and American roots music in the hands of virtuoso kora player/vocalist, PRINCE DIABATE, a bevy of Guinean masters, and our hometown IMAGINARY HOMELAND.
