Brittany guitarist Dan Ar Braz first gained international exposure in the early 1970s with Celtic harpist Alan Stivell and Fairport Convention, the seminal English folk-rock sensation. But Breton music failed in France to elicit the enthusiasm shown in North America and England, where the guitarist toured throughout the ’80s. His supergroup, L’Héritage des Celtes, broke through in the early ’90s with a series of recordings whose strains infuse Made In Breizh (the Breton term for Brittany).
